Asdrubal Cabrera

er.

Here are some things that caught my script “I” during the game:

-I liked seeing Asdrubal Cabrera hit leadoff again.

-Tonight the leadoff hitter (Cabrera) lead off three different innings. What’s the big deal you say? Well normally this doesn’t happen, but it is something I’m going to start to watch. In a case like tonight, it would definitely benefit the Tribe to keep Cabrera up there, hitting over .300 like he is as compared to Grady and his .219 average. That’s three chances that I feel better about getting off to a better start to an inning. This is my captain obvious fact of today, but it is something not talked about too much that I find interesting, that or I just have no life, maybe it’s a little of both.

Much exuberant ink has been spilled over Asdrubal Cabrera's unassisted triple play in yesterday's Indians-Blue Jays game, only the fourteenth in MLB history. That rarity makes it memorable, but I'm not sure there's a ton of athleticism involved--the Unassisted Triple Play (or UTP for short) is more luck of circumstance than anything.

or Haren.  But Oakland GM Billy Beane was probably asking for too much, including the likes of Asdrubal Cabrera, the Indians' second-half savior of 2007.  One has to certainly give Shapiro credit for not wanting to give up too much in the deal, but his limp trigger finger has its frustrating moments.  If getting Dan Haren, the starter for the American League in last season's All-Star Game, meant parting ways with Cabrera, you would still have to think it be a good deal for the Tribe.
