-Indians answer back in the top of the 4th getting two runs, keyed by none other than Victor Martinez.

-I guess regardless of who is in left field, it has become an obstacle of course. I’m waiting for a carnie to be out there pretty soon, saying c’mon man, it’s only $1 to play, I’ve got Def Leppard, Journey, and Twisted Sister square mirrors you can win if you catch a fly ball.

I know Victor Martinez will, but I want to see if Grady Sizemore does, if Carmona does. I have a feeling this is the kind of game that screams Jamey Carroll and David Dellucci in the lineup, you know, tough loss, these guys didn‘t play last night, we need that veteran presense in the lineup, right Eric? If you’re going to go down, you’ve got to go down with the pile of cash you gave them. Isn’t that right Mark?

mall part of this picture was the Indians' own injury blitz this season, which only Friday claimed Victor Martinez. As the ChiSox surge into summer at the top of the division, and the Tigers look to be sharpening their claws, it's possible Cleveland is ready to toss in the towel, at least as far as Sabathia is concerned.

Cleveland put Victor Martinez on the DL, while Seattle placed its once-reliable closer JJ Putz back on the DL, both with elbow injuries. And unlike Soriano's freak fracture, there were hints at undiagnosed problems with both Martinez and Putz.
